In November 2018, Steve Bannon, previously a top aide to Donald Trump, was in the UK to deliver a speech at the Oxford Union.

The event was interrupted by hundreds of demonstrators, and Bannon, who was due to travel that night, told Jeffrey Epstein in an email: "Activists slowed down my talk I doubt I can catch the flight we r enroute to the airport".

Epstein replied: "That. Is a gulf air that leaves at 950 with a layover in Bahrain". Bannon answered: "U r an amazing assistant".

These messages were released on Wednesday alongside over 20,000 pages from the estate of Epstein, the deceased financier convicted of sex crimes.

The disclosure by the Congressional committee contains an text conversation where Bannon's identity is withheld. Media outlets managed to establish his involvement by cross-referencing the timeline, occurrences, and locations mentioned.

For example, Epstein talks about chartering a jet from the UK for the redacted user in the chat, and offers praise their "address at Oxford". Bannon took part in the Edinburgh conference on 14 November, and gave the speech at the Oxford Union on November 16.

Bannon, who faces no allegations of any wrongdoing, did not reply on the inquiry.

'I'll make sure you're well looked after'

Bannon was one of the president's key aides in the run up to the presidential election and in the early days of his presidency, but resigned from the administration in 2017.

He has acknowledged he was making a documentary about Epstein prior to his passing and allegedly has approximately 15 hours of recordings. In a recording of his show earlier this year, he stated: "We plan to publish the series, the five-part series, next year - at the start of next year."

But the recently disclosed documents indicate Bannon's relationship with Epstein went further than documenting his life, with the convicted paedophile occasionally seeming to act like a aide.

A short time prior to the exchange in which Epstein appeared to have booked a private plane for Bannon, Epstein remarked: "what's it like to have the most highly paid travel agent in the world ".

Bannon thanked him: "You are pretty good asst", to which Epstein responded "Therapies. Excluded".

Discussing a trip to "Abu Dhabi" in another message, Epstein told Bannon: "I'll make sure you are well looked after."

UK Politics Discussed in Exchanges

The released communications also reveal Bannon and Epstein talking about UK politics in that year.

Earlier on the same day his speech at the Oxford, Bannon texted Epstein: "I've gotten pulled into the EU exit issue this day with Nigel, Johnson and Rees Mogg."

Then, in what appears to be a reference to Theresa May, the struggling British leader at the period, he continued: "They are attempting to proceed. may soon…"

Epstein suggested Bannon: "In my view staying as much as you can in the UK. Best-- so others see the dedication of your follow-up."

Soon after, Epstein asked: "Can Theresa may survive". Bannon replied: "I don't see how however the people over here have no balls" and added "Johnson ; Michael Gove; Jacob Rees-Mogg; Davis - someone has to step up".

May was eventually toppled in 2019 after withstanding multiple attempts of no confidence in December 2018.

A representative for Reform UK told the BBC: "Nigel Farage has not been in a meeting with Steve Bannon, Jacob Rees Mogg and Boris Johnson." And there is nothing to suggest such a meeting occurred.

The Congress will vote soon on whether the Department of Justice should release all its files concerning its investigation into Epstein, who passed away in jail in that year.

Attention in Epstein's associations with influential individuals was reignited recently after the release of more than 20,000 pages from his estate.

A portion of those referenced the former president, who has consistently rejected any impropriety. The leader was a friend of Epstein's for a long time, but says they fell out in the early 2000s, two years before Epstein was initially charged.
